Overview

The imagePRESS C7000VP is ideal for mid to large size production environments that want a full featured digital press with a maximum print speed of 70 letter-sized pages-per-minute (ppm) regardless of media weight. The press was developed with three key ideals in mind: image quality, productivity, and versatility.
Canon will redefine itself, once again, as the leader in high-end color with a level of quality that rivals offset printing. The press will print images up to 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution, producing sharp text, smooth gradations, and crystal clear, detailed images. The new developing, toner, and advanced calibration technologies provide outstanding color that remains consistent throughout each job. In addition, when printing on a variety of media finishes, Gloss Optimization ensures that the gloss of the media will match the imaged area.

Within production environments, one of the most important elements to success is the efficiency in which jobs get out the door. For this reason, the imagePRESS C7000VP maintains engine speed regardless of media weight (LTR, 11x17, 12x18, 13x19, 13x19.2). A letter sized sheet will print at 70ppm on medias up to 110lb. cover (300gsm). You can also load media and toner and empty the waste toner bottle while the press is running. Maximizing press uptime is key to a successful print operation. The Canon imagePRESS C7000VP device is equipped with Multi Feed Detection technology, preventing two sheets from entering the press at once.

Three front end controllers will be available. The Canon Controller is a cost effective color server solution, and contains new and improved tools to produce high quality output. The imagePRESS Server A2000 is a great fit for mid to high-end production environments looking for a solution that provides outstanding color and job management functionality. Finally, the imagePRESS Server A3000 is designed for high-end production environments that require powerful color server technology for graphic intensive files and variable data projects.

  The imagePRESS C7000VP is equipped with Auto Press Calibration to set your color densities automatically and Real Time Calibration performs live tests to maintain the high image quality throughout the day.

  The Advanced Image Transfer Belt (AITB), similar to the blanket on an offset-press accepts the image from the drum then transfers all four colors to the media in a single pass which produces better solids on plain, coated, and textured and specialty medias.

  Suction Feeding technology picks up the top sheet with air, not rollers, for more stability as the sheet is fed into the press.

  "On The Fly" technology lets you maintain and even boost productivity without stopping the press. Now you can refill media trays, remove and replace the toner bottle, and remove the waste toner bottles without stopping or pausing the press.

  Multi-feed detection prevents two or more sheets from entering the press at the same time are diverted to the escape tray on top of the POD deck without ever stopping the press.

  The Media Library lets you create, edit, manage, and select medias from one central location. Once the details of the media are entered it's stored the press is set for optimal performance and quality.
