I-O Corporation: IBM Host Solution I-O’s IBM® Host Solutions, also known as the 5435dp and the 5755dp print servers for converting IPDS and SCS to PCL, provide organizations with print solutions that connect IBM host print environments to Canon imageRUNNER devices with ease and efficiency. The I-O IBM Host Solutions provide fast host data conversion while supporting the full functionality of the imageRUNNER device.

  • IBM Host Solution 5435dp – Allows IBM host print jobs to be seamlessly printed over a LAN.
  • IBM Host to Net Gateway Solution 5755dp – Allows IBM host print jobs to be seamlessly printed over Ethernet connections.


Both solutions will accept IPDS or SCS data from an AS/400 iSeries, eServer i5, or mainframe via an Ethernet connection and have been customized to utilize the full finishing and paper-handling capabilities of the imageRUNNER device for host printing. An I-O Host Solution enables end-users in an IBM host environment to maximize the speed of the imageRUNNER system because the print server does the resource intensive data conversion rather than the host.
