Objectif Lune’s PlanetPress® Suite is a modular approach to transactional and variable content document printing and output management. Print, archive, e-mail, and fax simultaneously and automatically.

PlanetPress Suite offers Canon customers a solution that can eliminate the need for expensive preprinted forms, increase efficiency, reduce overall costs, enable faster time to market, and elicit a higher rate of response for a variety of mission-critical documents: 1:1 marketing, multipart business forms, statements and billing, green/gray bar reports, insurance, financial documents, bar-code printing, and high-speed mail merge. PlanetPress supports both current and legacy data streams.

This “printer-centric solution” minimizes network traffic by storing all the elements and logic in a compiled, self-contained program directly on the imageRUNNER device’s hard drive, so only the variable data is sent over the network. Customers can move from printing on legacy and proprietary impact printers to high-quality printing with Canon imageRUNNER devices, and with no changes to the host system, as no host or server software is required. PlanetPress integrates with Canon imageWARE solutions to enable the archival of back-office applications such as reports and invoices, seamlessly and automatically. With this solution, all the benefits offered by Canon imageRUNNER devices can now be utilized for your variable data and forms creation needs.
